WHO IS GROWING Year 2024

The Sculpturethis Association invites young people age 16–26 to join the Sculpturethis Creator Workteam in project work combining sculptures, art installations, and sustainable initiatives in urban, residential, and rural areas.

Sculpturethis creates interactive art installations that open opportunities for new social connections among people through encounters with art, nature, and each other. Together, we aim to build a sustainable and inclusive future that enriches and inspires dialogue across cultures. By fostering collaboration, we invite young people and other citizens to actively engage with their surroundings.

As part of the Sculpturethis Creator Workteam, participants work alongside professional artists in Sculpturethis projects, engaging in processes that allow them to discover new talents and develop greater confidence in their abilities through hands-on craftsmanship and creative practices. Additionally, with support from the Sculpturethis Mentor Team, they can explore their potential and identify pathways to education or employment.

Through project work, we aim to strengthen youth communities. These communities are formed through creative processes such as workshops, development, and production in collaboration with peers, institutions, businesses, and municipal cultural initiatives. By participating in projects and utilizing circular materials with opportunities for reuse, we seek to spark young people’s curiosity about art and sustainable responsibility.

With this approach, Sculpturethis strives to translate its sustainability strategy into action, emphasizing a circular art principle where the audience’s presence plays as significant a role as the artwork itself. The circular artwork remains active as long as it engages its audience, after which the materials can re-enter the circular recycling system.

The Sculpturethis Association encourage young people to join the CREATOR WORKTEAM to work on upcoming art projects. No specific skills are required to join the Creator Workteam. You will receive registration options for each project by email and it will also be announced on our SoMe.

Businesses can become members as ART PARTNER, and funding from foundations will also support the Sculturethis work, material costs, and other project-related expenses. Businesses will additionally have the opportunity to propose projects, jobs, or temporary employment for the youth member Creator Workteam.

Background of the Sculpturethis Association
Creativity is active: we define it as exploring, connecting with, and transforming the world around you.

Social sustainability is often an overlooked aspect of sustainability. It combines the design of physical spaces with the design of the social world—creating infrastructure to support social and cultural life, social facilities, civic engagement, and spaces for people and communities to thrive.
